John Freeman is the ONLY candidate in District 2, who has served for seven years in local elected office with a successful record that demonstrates that he knows how to create a vision and take on tough challenges that produces positive results. John's service on important boards has enabled him to create connections toward solving issues for San Benito County.
With the City Council of San Juan Bautista, John successfully led the charge to improve the city's drinking water system and its wastewater system. John worked to develop improved internet access for all of San Benito County residents by encouraging additional Internet Service providers to our little city. Thanks to John, their signals go out to many parts of San Benito County. John developed additional revenue by adding AirBnB business to our TOT tax program. John also championed a cannabis ordinance that will provide additional revenue to our city of San Juan Bautista. John personally lead a crusade to open the basketball courts at the San Juan School to be available people of all ages to play basketball and volleyball. John guided the city in finding new sources of income to repave our streets, and to upgrade our sewer and water systems - skills that I will bring to the Board of Supervisors
John would be honored to have your support and your vote for District 2 Supervisor.
John was instrumental in bringing sustainable electric power to San Benito County by working to get Central Coast Community Power approved by the San Juan Bautista City Council and the county at large. It is paying dividends by providing lower cost CO2 free power to our county.
As District 2 Supervisor John will serve our community by carrying visionary solutions to combat the greatest challenges that face our county, upgrading our transportation infrastructure – especially State Route 25 and building more affordable housing for middle class and working families and farm workers, while doing our part to address our climate crisis. In order to accomplish this, John will continue his efforts to plan for the future adding new electrical infrastructure, build broadband infrastructure to support economic development and communication, and to develop a business-friendly climate that attracts both businesses and jobs. John will fight to maintain a hospital in our county.
John Freeman is committed to actively contributing to the economic vitality and wellbeing of San Benito County. As a testament to his known commitment to our county and leadership, John Freeman was honored to have received the San Benito County Business Council Elected Leadership Award.
